Well, of all situations to win a Grey Cup, I think that had to be the toughest a team on the road would ever have to experience. I'm still shocked. In my mind, I had them losing against the Als in a close one and winning next year in Calgary. I thought the youngsters and Henry needed to get a taste of the Championship game and that the experience would better them for it. I never pictured them winning it IN Montreal IN FRONT of 66,000 +!!
Now, after winning, this team is poised to be dangerous for the next several years. They have a ridiculously young offensive line that has the chance to become the most dominant in the CFL. Mike Labinjo has emerged as a franchise defender....as well as a very young secondary. And obviously on offense you have Henry in the midst of his prime, as well as a lethal ground attack and receiving core.
The West will be a war once again next year, but this team should very well be back here next year. Congrats Stamps......what a fun season to watch.
