OK, so I'm listening to my iPod touch (just over a year old) today when the music stops. There is now no audio whatsoever coming out of the headphones. Everything else, including audio out of the dock works fine.
I have tried all the troubleshooting tips on Apple's website, including resetting it through iTunes. No luck. My iPod is one month past warrenty too!

tech support, my only option apparently is to send it into them- for a flat rate of $215!
Any suggestiions? I can't believe I buy something costing me nearly $500 and this is what I get.
