Disagree. With the Tsuu TIna dragging thier feet for over 3 years now, no way does the city make access to that Casino a smidge easier until they get the land for the ring road.
If all went to plan, the city would've had that intersection done, and 3 lanes on Glenmore all the way through to Sarcee, in addition to that new massive interchange at Sarcee being half done by now.
They've rejigged the lights too to make it a longer green on Glenmore and longer wait on 37th. I live in the area and I wouldn't care if they took out the left turn onto 37th either.
Still stupid for the city to allow that Casino to open without getting the land first. Harper needs to flex some executive MP muscle and get this sorted out ASAP.
And, while we're in that area, kick those freeloading squatters out of Black Bear crossing...the agreement was that the Tsuu T'ina were to shut down and tear that eyesore down the minute that the casino opened. Those people have no right to be there, as its questionable as to if their even band members...probably aren't, because all the band members have vacated and relocated on the reserve as they promised to do.
