Yeah, that intensive purposes bugs the hell out of me too.
Bad grammar actually bugs me quite a bit, I'm not perfect but there are a couple that really get to me when people mis use them (usually on this boad, as this is the only one I frequent).

Examples.

"Should of" or "Could of" instead of "Should have"
Mixing up They're Their and There
They're = They are
Their = posessive
There = indicating a place

These are things I remember going over in second grade LA class, and for some reason it bugs me when I see them misused.
