A lot of weekends during the school year were dead too - most of the kids went home to Toronto for the weekend, so Thurdsay was always the big night. Had to get to The Ceeps by 4:00 pm. Many weekends, there were only a few of us around - prairie kids like me, kids from Northern Ontario. We all had nick-names - Ringo, Tongue, Huggy, Thumper, Bob Probert's cousin, Paul Masson. My name was Lucky, ironically.

$2 beers all the time.

Homecoming - usually everyone stayed in London for that. There were always 3-4 ambulances waiting outside the student section to deal with alcohol poisonings.

Went to one Vanier Cup in the old Varsity Stadium in Toronto (Western vs. UBC). My friend at U of T was an engineer and a member of The Lady Godiva Marching Band. Basically they used their instruments to smuggle booze into the stadium.

I miss school.
