I've done the Caribbean 3 times (Mariner of the Seas x 2 & Liberty of the Seas).

First remember everything is US Dollars,

- Drinks range from 4.50 on (Corona's are 4.50 (just a few months ago)

- We've always brought our own bottles on board, just disguised it a bit but never been turned away.

- If your cruising with Royal and like wine, then get a wine package but wait till your on the ship, it's about $60 cheaper. (we always got the 5 bottle diamond, i think)

- If your going to do excursions, then book them online to avoid the rush. They are the same price online as onboard.

- Ice show on Royal Caribbean is absolutely amazing, if your ship has them then get those tickets as soon as they come out (on board).

- As for your passport, it depends on the port. If it is privately owned by the cruise line then you don't have to bring anything. But everywhere else we brought ours. You'll have a daily Cruise Calender and it will let you know what is required.

- If your worried about Motion Sickness then as a just in case item, go get the Transderm Patch. My wife get huge motion sickness but it all goes away when she puts on one of these.

- Don't forget that every time you get a drink there is already a 15% gratuity added, so unless the service is exceptional, don't worry about tipping, just sign the chit and be done with it.

- If your on a RC Cruise then make sure you go to Portofino or Chops. It's $20 but the food is frikkin incredible.

-Last thing, when departing the ship at the end of the cruise. Don't put your luggage out for the porters to pack away. Take your own luggage with you. You can leave at anytime and don't have to go to meeting areas and wait for your area letter to depart.
