The one thing that Mr. Brown did exceptionally well - one might even say perfectly - is what's called "information release". He held onto information that the reader wanted to have right up until the moment that you are ready to throw the book down in frustration, then at that moment he would give you just enough to keep you reading.

It's textbook thriller-writing and Brown did it very well. As far as plot construction, imaginativeness, metaphor, creativity go as well as basic description, character development, or story structure he's mediocre to poor.

He hit a nerve (Christianity) and rode a tidal wave of hype to millions and millions of dollars. He deserves credit - but no admiration.

And Angels and Demons is exactly the same book as Da Vinci Code.
