I would have liked it if there was a set standard for what deserved negative and positive skill.
For example;
If you started a thread that gets 4 stars and last more than 5 pages, then you get positive skill.
If you create a video/image that is particularly clever, you get positive skill.
If you start statistics or game threads that involved extra effort, then you get positive skill.
If you become involved in an argument that causes the closure of a thread, then you get negative skill.
If you post pad, hurl insults at other posters, or spam, you get negative skill.

I guess that would take a fair bit of effort though, so it might not be worth it, but imo it beats the old arbitrary system. It was confusing to figure out why some people had positive skill and negative skill.
