Seriously...they wasted 23 seconds just being completely inept. What they needed to do was use the 11 guys on the field and spike the ball with 42 seconds left...THEN you make personel changes. Not before spiking it. Truly one of the most bizarre and baffling things I have ever witnessed in the NFL.
That being said...the niners have some real good pieces in place, and are likely to start showing better in the real near future. I am a huge Singletary fan but am not convinced he is what a head coach should be. Time will tell.

Yeah, I'm grasping, but it was just weird the way it played out. And I have seen a few games with different teams do exactly the same thing the past couple years. As long as you aren't spiking it on 4th down, it should be automatic.
