The team does play hard, and they've been ravished by injuries pretty badly. But this is three weeks in a row where they had a very legitimate chance to win the game and failed to do so. Even in week one against New England they had a golden chance to steal that game. It's an inexperienced team, but at some point in time they are going to need to learn how to win.
I'm happy that they're not losing 34-0 every week right now, and they really are fighting just to get a team on the field every week. But it's the NFL and winning is the only thing that counts.
No wonder the Saints fans are looking forward to a game against the Chiefs...they'll get to see Brees throw for 500 yards without all the interceptions!
Still looks like the team is doing a decent job of finding bottom roster guys to at least get them some depth for future years. Bradley has been a good pickup at WR, Thigpen is looking like a guy who can at the minimum be a capable back up NFL QB. You don't find a lot of front line starters, but it's a time where you can develop depth at the 45-53 spots on a roster and the Chiefs are being forced to do that right now. They need another good draft to get some top end roster help here this coming year though, and it's still at least one more year until they could have something.
