I know there is a lack of family doctors in Calgary and many of them are closed to new patients due to work load.
Also CMPA insurance is getting harder and more expensive to get, so some doctors want simple patients to help keep their premiums down.
I seem to remember the flames doctors having trouble get CMPA insurance but not exactly sure.
