Saw it Saturday night. One word. Amazing.
No one shines brighter than the other in the film, but they all come together to show a complete story of racisim. Sometime done in jest, as a lot of us are guilty of, and others to the utmost extreme, in the case of Matt Dillon's character. It's done with a pinch of comedy, a pinch of hard hitting drama, and a lot of art imitating life.
It's hard as a Canadian to know what happens in Los Angeles on a daily basis, but I could see everything in the film happening in our own back yard, with different circumstances.
I would recomend to anyone looking for a thought provoking film. It'd be great to start a discussion about the film here. I'd like to see what others thought.
