Ok, maybe we can set up some guidelines.
The contest runs for 6 days. On the eve of the 7th day, we will decided which is the best photo by voting(?). Then, the winner of the weeks theme and chooses the new theme that evening and tells me. I'll keep up with it and keep it always the same, with the same rules posted and so I can change the title (ie: LAST DAY TO POST) etc.
Voting can be simple. You simply quote someone's photo and put: Vote in your message field. I'll give an example directly below this. You are allowed 1 vote per theme and can not change it once you make it. So, you'll have to be careful not to use your vote up too soon. Say, voting must be complete before 7 p.m. on the 6th day? That way, we can tally the votes, the winner can have time to think and then early on day 7 we can start the next one. How does that sound? Is 7 days too short?
I think for voting, we should just quote the original post, but instead of quoting their picture, just take it out and put the post # on it. Again, see below.
What do you guys think?
Maybe, voting reserved for just day 6? and no more photos?
Tuesdays = Final day to submit photos (IE: 11:59p.m.)
Wednesdays = voting day
Thursdays = New theme day
The thread isn't locked when voting is over, so people can still post pics, it just won't count towards the voting.
And these photos HAVE to be yours. Don't suck all the fun out of it by posting something that doesn't belong to you.
Ideas for new themes shouldn't be too specific : IE: whooping cranes of eastern somolia, but rather something general but not too general.
