Its funny you know....Bob Stoops, Pete Carroll, hell even Joe paterno have ZERO idea how the BSC system works but two of them agree it doesnt. A playoff system would end ALL arguments...but being that this is college ball, it cant happen for some reason. Well JoPa doesn't know much about what goes on around him so I'm just going to put him to the side. The others are lying. I know how it works, I have a pretty good idea of how the computers work, and we all know how the polls work, so they are just lying and grandstanding.
Pete Carroll wouldn't be whining into micraphones if he had beat Oregon State. He has the easiest path of all the top tier teams and he blew it. It's quite simple, win your games, and your very likely in. Lose ... like he did to a nothing team then your on the outside looking in hoping for a shot. The bigger or more elaborate a playoff or NC structure is, the less important a regular season and other bowls are. If you are into an elaborate scheme to sort out a team who isn't nessesarily the best, but is certainly hot at the right time ... and has a completely unimportant regular season, then follow NCAA basketball.
