I have a suggestion, and I'm sorry I didn't bring it up in the workshop thread.
If you know me from the Movie draft, you've seen how I was on people to make faster picks---to the point of being a pain in the ass sometimes.

What if there was a reward at the end of the draft for anyone who completes the whole thing without being AK'ed? That reward could be any number of things. Maybe being allowed to drop one pick and repick? I know how that topic came up in the Movie draft, and how lots of people said they would love to be able to have a mulligan. If 100% of the GMs end up having that benefit, then mission accomplished.

Reward, not penalty. That's a good motivator.
