If not for a lucky deflection OSU would have lost the game so I think that USC was a pretty good match for them.

If they are better and that is an if, it certainly isn't by much.
Playing a top ten team at home should be considered a little differently than a mediocre nobody team.

That win is no more impressive than the Ohio State win. I can see how people would say that Florida is better it is too hard to tell with them not playing each other. I think USC is the better team personally but can see how people would be fooled into liking Florida.
