They went to Auburn a few years ago, this year they scheduled a top 5/10 team in Ohio State and went to Virginia, who while not great is still a competitive BCS school. Every year they have Notre Dame on the OOC schedule as well which traditionally has been very good.
I am not sure that there can be any criticism of their OOC schedule this year. I don't see another top 10 or even 15 team that has a schedule that tough. A win against Vandy is less impressive than the OSU win and really how much more impressive would it have been than the 55-0 road win against Virginia?
I am not sure what SEC school is going to want to schedule USC at this point. Playing a home and home against Cal is very different from scheduling USC.
