Even if this threat of "aliens" was even remotely true... its not like we'd stand a chance anyway. If the aliens were able to travel all the way to Earth to threaten us... its likely that they would have superior technology, so a moon base won't do much. We're a civilization that hasn't even put a man on Mars yet.
