To me the best restaurant in Calgary is far and away Globefish. I am sushi fanatic and it is a little more expensive than most places ($30/35 each) but the quality, originality, presentation and taste is unparalleled. It's the best sushi I've ever had in my life. Everyone I bring there, even many from Europe and South America, think it's the best sushi they've ever had. There's one in Marda Loop and one in Kennsington. Soooo good!

For steakhouses, I like Caesars, Tops and the Keg is good too. I want to go to Ruth Cris (or however it's spelled). For breakfast, I like Nelly's or the Melrose sunday brunch buffet. For Italian I like Il Giardino and Buon Giorno as well. Glory of India on 4th Ave is good for Indian food. Thai Rose Garden by the Hyatt is excellent.

I think the Calgary tower restaurant is overpriced and overrated. I don't like it.
