Default Game 17: Stamps Vs Tiger Cats

Technically, this should be an easy game for the Stamps against the lowly Ticats but this is the CFL where teams never say die. Ticats right now are playing a spoiler and they almost did the job against Saskatchewan only to lose by a field goal. I am pretty sure Stamps will not take the Ticats lightly. This late game of the season when one team does not have to worry about losing are the ones that scares me especially injury-wise. I hate to say but Burris went down last time against the same Tigercats in Hamilton and it was also late game of the season. I am hoping that it won't happen again for Burris or for anyone.

OFFENSE: Henry Burris played so well last game against the Bombers. Burris was named Offensive Player of the Week. Burris mixed up plays and that confused the Bombers last week; hence awesome game for the offensive units. Joffrey Reynolds ran more last game and still leading the CFL rushing by a few yards over Wes Cates of Saskatchewan. I am very happy to see Reynolds getting used again. Nik Lewis broke two Stampeders record last game(Allen Pitts' franchise record of 85 straight games with at least one catch and gained over 1,000 yards this season to become the first Calgary receiver ever that gained 1,000 yards in five consecutive season. Ken Yon-Rambo on the other hand surpassed Geroy Simon as leader in receiving yards in the CFL and seeking to be the first Stampeder in nine season to lead the league in that department. Copeland, Ralph and Thelwell played well while Teyo Johnson scored a TD. Jabari Arthur is the other Canadian receiver. Late in the game Cornish took over from Reynolds as a running back. Other RB in the roster are Summers and Cote.

OFFENSIVE LINE: The Stampeders OLine did well against the Bombers DLine and LBs. I am sure they will have an easy game against the Ticats' Front Seven but I am sure Creehan will pump his defensive squad as retributions for his firing last season. Sorry Creehan I guess you are out of luck this game. The rest of OLines are Derek Armstrong, and Fabio Filice.

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN: Mike Labinjo came back last game to solidify the DLines. They were awesome last game and pressured Glenn all game, then Dimwiddie. They did not give up a lot of yardages in rushing and they helped the secondary get some time with their coverage. The result, Winnipeg's net offensive yards were not even close to Burris offensive outburst alone. I am very impressed with both Labinjo and Charleston Hughes and they are now my favorite Dlinemen. They have the speed and grit and never quit pursuing the QB. Both players are becoming to be a QB nightmare. Eddie Freeman, and Hodges will take the other DLine starting spot. The rest of the Dlines are Juwan Simpson, Justin Phillips, Miguel Robede, and Randy Chevrier.

LINEBACKERS: It looks like starting outside linebacker Jojuan Armour will sit this game out. He is currently in Calgary and there was a rumour that he got hurt intervening a fight between a man and a woman. Dwayne Carpenter will take Armour's spot. Little Shannon James should have another good game again against Ticats. The rest of the LBs are Calixte and Ternovatsky.

SECONDARY: Awesome game for Lenny Walls, Browner, Smith, Lysack and Anderson. The rest of the secondaries are Milton Collins, Calvin Bannister, Keon Raymond and Markus Howell. The whole secondary played tremendously and I can see another repeat performance vs Ticats.

SPECIAL TEAM: Special teams are getting better and better as the season progresses.

For the Stamps to win, they have to keep playing the way they've been playing in the last few games.

GO STAMPS GO!!
