Good overall game for the Stamps. Calgary won the game 37-16. Offense was on fire and defense answered the bell whenever they are on the field. Glenn couldn't create much offense in the first half. Ryan Dimwiddie started off well and got a TD pass but Henry Burris passed for TD to Teyo Johnson to answer Winnipeg's TD. Calgary defense started pressuring Dimwiddie so his plays tailed off. He threw a INT to Anderson. Randall (3rd stringer) came in late but did not do much until late and also threw an INT to Carpenter.
Burris was on fire and he was mixing it up. He started with the short passes to Nik Lewis, who happenned to break Pitts' record of 85th consecutive games with at least a catch. Then Burris started using Reynolds, then throwing long balls to Rambo. Winnipeg's are stunned and confused. Burris threw 5 touchdowns(to Ralph twice, Rambo, Copeland and Johnson) and 338 yards. Lewis broke 2 records today (Pitts' 85 games with at least a catch and first Stampeders to catch 1,000 yards in 5 consecutive season). Lewis caught 100 yards which is enough to get 1,002 yards for the season. On defense, Calgary had 2 QB sacks (Labinjo and Armour) and 2 INT (Anderson and Carpenter). Awesome win and they are now in sole possession of first place in the West, 2 points ahead of BC Lions and 4 points ahead of Saskatchewan and Edmonton. The only team who can beat the Stamps in tie-breaker is Edmonton and they have to win their last 2 games while Stamps have to lose both their remaining games. Hamilton is next on the line and they are playing in Hamilton next week.
