I don't think that all Rider Fans are idiots, but there is a lot of them. And I agree, there has to be a Yin to the Yang... I'm sure there's idiot Stampeder fans.

I wouldn't get so worked up over us using the term "Rider Fans" or "Rider Nation" to mean each and everyone who would wear green on game day. It's like getting pissed off if someone said "people are such idiots"... I'm a people (person, I know)... I don't think that the term is being applied to me... depending on who you ask...
I actually really appreciate your ability to be non partisan. I have been treated like dirt so many times by the righteous Stamps fans. I just wish a lot of them could realize it is a two way street.

And you are right. I don't mean you are all idiots. Many of you have approached me at Stamps-Riders games and told me that if it weren't for the Riders morons and the Stamps morons the games would be amazing.

It is the blanketing of an entire people by a small minorities actions that drive me crazy.

I've heard many a story that going to GM place is death for Flames fans, yet I have a few friends in Van city and they are offended that I have not yet gone to a game there because I fear for my life in that building.

Does that make me biased? absolutely. Is it unfounded? not really because there are some douchy Van City fans. But I refuse to label all Van fans as criminals based on a few stories I've heard. I try and balance the two. I know that I'll run into some jerks at a Stamps game or at a Canucks game. Do I think this means all of their fanbase is a bunch of criminals? Well certainly not.

Imagine if you replace Riders, with black people or asians. This thread would be out of control in its hatred of the bigots. But because it is in opposition of the other teams fan base most you don't give a second thought about calling us a bunch of criminals and trouble makers.

EDIT: upon thinking about this some more, maybe all I'm expecting is that more of the posters in this thread would avoid labelling all Rider fans as criminals. As Prototype suggests, maybe saying Rider fans, doesn't mean all of us, just the trouble makers. If I could believe that most people could forget their biases I might have more faith that is what they really meant. It is just the overall tone of this thread seems to be Stamps fans piling on making themselves feel better about the fact that some of YOUR brethren may be the problem not us.
