There should be more public demonstrations of supreme moral authority.

They should have taken him onto the field and let all of the Cops stomp on him at the same time.

It could be a kind of halftime show..."Who's house is this? Its OUR house!!" *STOMP*

Seriously though, poor judgement by the fan, and the Cop went off the handle. I would imagine it would have something to do with the fact that if the guy's hand went to weapon area of his belt, in a crowd like that the Cop cant know for sure whether or not the guy took his gun so, presumably in the interests of safety, he puts the guy down so he'd never get a chance to use it if he had.
