Well, looks like Harper's Conservatives will get another minority government. Hey Harper, next time you do your internal polls and see yourself with a majority government, make sure you don't open up your Republican wannabe mouth and ruin the whole thing.
Of course, he wanted an election. Thats what the highest spending government in Canadian history does. Hey, how else can we spend more of the taxpayers' money. Hmmm, how about 300 million for another election when no one wants an election. How about 18 billion to play cops and robbers in Afghanistan?? Hey, the Soviets couldn't defeat the Afghans, but our super powerful Canadian army will bring order to that country. And after all, all Afghans are the same, they have no tribal differences that have lasted many centuries. You'd better get our troops and my tax money out by 2011. Geez, 18 billion to play war games. What an utter waste.
And here's another suggestion, the next time you table legislation for fixed election dates, instead of a bill named Bill C-16, rename it Bill C-"I'm nothing more than a liar and don't believe any bill I table because I'll change my mind because I value nothing". It's your own bill Sweaters. That's what you wanted. But much like you, the bill was nothing more than a fraud.
It sure is going to be hard to swallow this victory Harper. Even though you won, you lost. You're party knows it, the electorate knows it and even you're mutual fund mother knows it. You have the right of center vote all to yourself and you have three left of center parties splitting the vote and you can only get 32%-35% of the popular vote. That is truly pathetic Mr. Prime Minister. I guess it's better to be luckiest candidate in Canadian history than the best one. The good news, at least you'll have another couple of years to spend our money like a drunken NDP sailor. But you're running on borrowed time.Tick tock, tick tock, the bell tolls for thee.
