From what I've heard they are pretty good about stuff like this. I think it's strange though, that they will take the demerits off as long as you pay something. You would think that if it's about getting bad drivers off the road they would make you keep the demerits but not pay...

Exact same thing happen to me, just went to the Crown. Was the second person in line so that no one p*ssed him off. Played the poor student card and got it knocked down.
Only thing I can tell you is go SUPER early and stand in line, be close to the front. Some of those people p*ss the Crown off pretty bad, not quite sure how.
