About a 2 years ago I got a ticket and went down to Rocky Mountain Plaza to go through the process. About 2 hours later, I met with the guy who offered me two options:
1) pay the whole ticket of $125 and get no demerits
-or-
2) pay $75 and get 2 demerits.
Originally, I had been dinged for $125 and 3 demerits (going 20 clicks over)
I personally didn't plead guilty or anything, I just said that I was a poor student....Hope this helps.
Oh yeah, whatever option I chose, the guy mentioned that I'd have to pay right away. The total time it took was about 2.5 hours.
