But, REDVAN, to your point that it wasn't affecting anyone, the problem is that the situation could very quickly change, especially in a place where young children are going to be or would go to. Isn't it better or safer to put in place laws and regulations that are designed to prevent a disaster from happening - like some kid or parent getting mauled by a dog (not THIS dog - a dog) - rather than reacting to it afterward? That's what the law is there for.
I do understand your point re: these laws and driving - I'm not saying I never inch the needle above the limit - the laws are there to prevent problems. Just because one is not CURRENTLY happening does not mean there is no possibility for a problem to happen.
