If you live "On The Hill" (Signal Hill, Coach Hill, Strathcona, Aspen, etc.) and want to go for italian within the 'hood, the alternative to Sorentinos is Why Not Italian in the Strathcona shopping centre. Despite its name, it is actually a real italian-run restaurant with some authentic fare. We've had some good meals there and also some average. Though, the last time we were there I noticed all the kitchen staff now seemed to be asian, so perhaps that does not bode well for the future.

Good call - we had some good meals there - great waiters from Spain.
