Tonight was like watching men against boys. The Flame completely and utterly dominated the Chops. Scott Reid played the first two periods, allowing one goal. Irving came in for the third and pitched a shutout, but honestly I don't think he made more than five saves. There were five or six fights, including a dandy involving Tremblay.
Kris Chucko continues to really impress me. Tonight, he played just as hard as he did Thursday, and added a dirty edge. He was stirring the pot all night, and even got into a fight. Germyn and Peters both played a great game, and Van Der Gulik scored the game winning goal. Physically, it was like watching men against boys. The Flames hit the Chops out of the building, and by the 10 minute mark of the third, the Chops started visibly shying away from contact. It was a great game, and it even made me more excited about the start of the season.
