This is your best bet. Unless you're setup with a gigabit Ethernet, I wouldn't attempt transferring that much data over the wire unless you want to do this over a period of about a week.

I usually just load my library onto an external hard drive that I use to back stuff up on and copy it off that. I like simple solutions.
