You wouldn't use a derogatory term to describe someone who had cancer, why would you do the same for someone who had a different disease?
This is what I dont get, why is the term mentally ######ed any worse than mentally challenged, both are labels, both mean the same thing. In another 20 years its going to be un-PC to say mentally challenged too we'll have to move on to the next PC term, how about diversely learning affected?

It all depends on how you use the term if it is in a bad way or not.
