If you're looking for a different wine and don't know what to get it makes it easier if you ask yourself a few questions:
1.) Do you prefer red, white or both?
2.) Do you prefer a drier/sweeter red/white?
3.) Do you prefer a wine with more or less body?
4.) What wines have you had in the past that you enjoy?
5.) Where are they from?
6.) What did you like about them? (Fruity aroma or a more oaky tone?)

Note these considerations then while you're in the wine store ask someone who works there what they know in a wine with characteristics like the one's you've noted.

Some people are very hesitant to ask for help with wine but they shouldn't be because you'd be amazed how knowledgable the employees are at various liquor stores.

BTW if you haven't noticed I work for one myself hence the long response.
