X-Ice's shouldn't be used as all-seasons unless you want them to last less than a year. The soft rubber compound and hot asphalt do not go well together.

How about the Nokian WR... a winter tire that can be used all the time year round... one of the few with that capability. Well worth the price tag IMO.
