The fact is that with his inability to play in the field, declining numbers and terrible, terrible personality Bonds was no longer a positive asset to a team. When he was putting up unreal numbers, aided by Roids, teams could afford to ignore his negative impact on the clubhouse. 2. Even if Bonds played on his soon to be prisons softball team with rapists, murders and thieves I doubt that he would be close to the most deserving. The guy is such a prick and so bad for the game of baseball that all he deserves is a one way ticket to prison.
I am not sure why Griffey deserves a ring. I realize that a lot of people in the 25-35 age range seem to love him but he hasn't exactly been the model of an MLB player or done a lot that would indicate that he deserves anything either. But he certainly deserves a whole lot more than Bonds.
