Anders has ridden general Alberta support for the Alliance to get his seat term after term, not ANY personal charisma or ability. There is a VERY specific reason why after 3 (?) terms in office the guy is still not intrusted wth anything and frankly never will be. He is a liability as much as he is an idiot. He does nothing for our riding, his own party, and certainly nothing for this country...
I remember about a 2-3 years ago everyone in our riding got a flier from him. The point of the flier was that 'EVEN Jews and Muslims should side with Christians like real conservatives because the evil gay lobby was trying to make the bible, scriptures, and koran illegal!!!! Further, that people HAVE to be able to hate gays because they are evil, because they are evil and have to be hated, and that new anti-hate legislation would mean that we all would have to stop hating gays publically and that religion would become illegal (more illegal i guess?) because we all know religions HAVE to be able to freely hate people!!'
THAT is a good use of tax payer money!
Conservatives are just as bad as liberals, they just have different pockets to fill and different stupid agenda's to persue.
I REALLY hate to summarize it so but really it comes down to whether you want pro-American conservative/faux-christian values with American and western business men getting the money, or whether you want pro-'Canadian' liberal/social values with French business men getting the money....
