I doubt Harper is going to win. The polls are always misleading. Look at the last election, look at the last American election.
People don't like the liberals and that's what the polls show, but it doesn't show that they won't vote for them again. Visiting many eastern boards, the attitude is all the same. It's apathy or "evil you know better than the evil you don't" against the Conservatives.
But the cool thing is that if the Conservatives form a government, that'll be 2 Prime Ministers from Calgary! That's more than anywhere else outside Ontario and of course Quebec.

I believe there have already been two P.M.s from Calgary. Joe Clark and R.B. Bennet. Bennet was P.M. at the beginning of the great depression and I believe lived in the Palliser Hotel. He was a lawyer born in New Brunswick. I don't think either were that cool.

Yeah, he was the founder. He originally joined James Lougheed as a partner but started the Bennett firm in 1922 which became Bennett Jones in 80.
