When Harper first showed up as leader of the Reform Party a few years back, I remember him making the media rounds out East (I lived in Toronto then), and he definitely downplayed being from Calgary. He was constantly mentioning growing up a Toronto boy. He said "Leaside High School" so many times I wondered if he wanted to be the principal there instead of PM.
