As a former user of most every form of contact lense and eyeglass, having been legally blind for 20yrs, I have to say going under the Knife/laser was the best thing ever. I had it done at Gimble's place in the Northwest and everybody involved was awesome. If you can be considered at all a candidate for any of the procedures available I say suck it up princess, it ain't so bad...except maybe the expense. That little white pill is a great thing and I was awake for the whole thing. It took maybe 1/2 hr 45 minutes for both eyes! That was 7 years ago now and my vision is still better than 20/20 in both eyes. Needless to say I'm an extremely happy camper! I'm not sure I would go anywhere than the Gimbel eye center though as I have heard some negative stories from people that I know who went to the others.
