Look at Libra then... just had twins, and goes on the show. I think in both cases it was a family decision. I understand your concern, but it's not like they both just up and left.
As far as his actions in the house, I'm not saying that I'll erase them from my mind. But it showed a different side, something we don't always get to see from reality show contestants, nor anyone with the chance to be on TV or media in general.
Had he not had that conversation with Julie after his eviction, I would have had a completely different impression of the gentleman. His actions in the house were horrible, yes, but he's a compassionate family man, who got to live a dream, for lack of a better discription, as he was a big Big Brother fan before hand. Someone at his age too, being his 'last hurah', and making it to the final 3... you have to respect that somewhat, regardless how he got there.
