Jerry's wife is going through Parkinsons (I believe), which is the family situation I speak of. I would imagine that $25k would mean more to him and his family right now than to a Hooters Girl. But, I wouldn't have voted for him based on his actions.
As far as his interview, his admitance that this was his 'last hurah', as cheesy as it is for someone in their 70s to say something like that, he did make it to the final 3, and realistically, he doesn't have much time on this earth left. To go on national TV, and to talk about the last big thing he'll do, and to be excited to spend whatever time he has left with his wife... I earned a little more respect for the guy. He was Big Brother's biggest hypacrite <sp?>, but he was quite the human being when unprovoked. And with the service background that he had, I have a hard time not giving credit for that.
I'm sure I could enjoy a beer with the guy, but there's no way I would want to spend ~70 days with him. No way.
