(And I have trouble believing that no one foresaw this in TSN or the CFL offices to maybe say "hmm, TSN has contractual obligations to show golf at the same time we've scheduled a CFL game that TSN is also supposed to carry.") The CFL is getting screwed on this one and it may happen more and more now that TSN has a second channel. Push aside the smaller guy to play the big guy on the main network.

This will open up a lot more things than repeats of games. This will give us more access to NHL games, special events we may not otherwise see and more ESPN programming. I am excited about this change, I think it will be slow for a bit but more things will be added in the future.

I am sure Shaw would love to tell TSN, Superchannel, etc to go shove it except doing that means they can not carry those channels SD or HD. And then they will have people complaining about that...so it's a lose-lose for them in this type of situation.

Superchannel is owned by Bell, Shaw has to pay a lot of money to Bell to have these channels and they need to make that money back some way, not to mention the amount of money they spend to broad cast it.
I hate to break this news to everyone but Shaw, Bell, etc. are in this to make money and put up huge profits. It is not about being a good public service and providing the cheapest TV possible.
