Rick Bell has an article a column a rant in today's Sun about the bridges. It's kind of hard to tell by his tone but I think he's against the two projects. He provides some insight into who on Council may be for or against the project that those of you who might want to contact your Alderman may find useful:
Quote:
On the big day, Sept. 8, the vote looked like it was going to be a tie with seven for the $25-million bridge and seven against. A tie is the same as a loss in council. But Ald. Dale Hodges, who is against the bridge, is, in his words, "unavoidably absent" when the vote comes up.
The result? Seven for, six against.

FOR: Farrell, Ceci, Mar, Bronco, Hawkesworth, Pincott, Fox-Mellway.

AGAINST: Colley-Urquhart, McIver, Chabot, Jones, Connelly, Stevenson.

Hodges, who was at the meeting earlier, is absent.

Ald. Gord Lowe is away.
