The Ditch I've been to Munich multiple times it is a really neat place and is quite different from where I was living at the time (Stuttgart). Next time I go, I am definitely going back to the Deutsches museum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsches_Museum. Being an engineer I spent hours there.

I've been to Dachau and it was quite depressing but a good history lesson.

A second for the museum, English garden, and Dachau... all were well worth the time going.

They used to run the walking tours from the train station. There was a little tourist office along the one side of the train station where all the trains load and unload passengers run buy some people that catered to english speaking tourists. They had some good ideas for daytrips etc.

They may still do the bike tours in Munich as well. You get to see a little more than the walking tour as you can cover more ground.

There was a good pub there as well on the main walk, something like Augustiner... I can't remember exactly... had the best beer there. Started from some Augustine monks that had been brewing since 1325 or something like that.
