Stunning news - happy that they seemed to put aside all their differences for Live 8 a couple of years ago...

I agree with the comments about his work, as it was a big part of their early sound and often overlooked in general...

In Nick Mason's book, Inside Out, it was mentioned that Richard was so technically proficient, that as a joke, they used to play back his recorded audio in his headphones while he was playing live, and he didn't notice the difference...
