I thought it was the left that was supposed to be hysterical and over-react to everything. I agree it's a horrible thing for a PM to address citizens directly - only in a banana republic would a leader take the extraordinary measure like this. We should ban entirely all pronouncements from MP's, PM's, premiers (I notice you don't rail on about Mr. Klein's annual 'fireside chats' which are little more than PC promotional pieces paid for by the taxpayer) and MLA's.

Given that this is a dictatorship, Harper better be careful what he says or he will end up 'disappeared'. Or maybe the fact that Harper will be replying just shows Martin can't even run a banana republic properly by silencing the critics??
