We did the same thing in Vancouver. We were walking downtown and found a pub to sit in. Turns out it was a gay pub (cant remember what it was called though). At least I was there with the girlfriend though.
Its not like it was a big deal. Food was fine and beer was tasty as always. The only annoying part was the big group of lesbians that came in and started chanting things about lebso power and crap like that. That was pretty ridiculas, but luckily were were getting ready to leave when they started their chanting and table pounding.
