I imagine he'll say 'look at all the great stuff we promised in the budget, and Kyoto, health care, gay marriage, etc. Canada needs us for all of that.'

Followed by or preceded by a quick statement about the unfinished work of the Gomery inquiry and how the bad guys will be punished.

My head tells me it could go either way in terms of whether the Canadian public buys it. My gut is much more cynical, and tells me they'll buy it hook line and sinker.
