This will be interesting. I think the plan will be to exploit Myers' current likability level (or lack thereof) in casting him as a General (my best guess is that given Tarantino's view of establisment(s) and power structure(s), a character of a General will hardly be sympathetic); which probably work well in the film, and subsequently could help to rebuild Myers' reputation. Could be a stroke of genius. Or it might be a colossal failure. But given what QT has done in the past for Michael Madsen, John Travolta, Robert Forster, Michael Keaton, Pam Grier, Darryl Hannah etc etc etc, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
