So you're saying that if my bill comes to $14.88, I'm being stupid by giving her a $20 and saying 'keep the change'?
To be quite honest, that's something I've never thought of as being rude, in fact, it's something that's never crossed my mind. Amongst most people I've evergone out with, it's pretty standard to round out the bill and tip to an even number.
