Laugh, yeah that's it. Someone just gave him a fleet of tankers and a business that brings in hundreds of millions of dollars a year.
I don't know anything about how he got into the business or paid for the boats but I'm quite certain he paid for them somehow.
My point was that he was a businessman, and a pretty succesful one at that, before he got into politics. That he wasn't some career politician, pining away for decades as a backbencher and policy hack until he got his current gig, as was suggested.
